Sanjay is  the founder and current Vice-Chairman of JMATEK International, a Hong Kong headquartered multinational group offering market leading, high quality electrical and electronics products to consumers around the world. He is also the co-founder of Kalido, an app designed to enable instant entrepreneurship. 

Previously, Sanjay was the #3 member in Alibaba’s leadership team in its early days.  He started his career with McKinsey & Company in India and worked with the family trading business, OAJ Ltd. in Hong Kong.  In 2013, Sanjay was awarded the "Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award" by Enterprise Asia for his leadership in building JMATEK into a global leader in home comfort appliances.

Sanjay is an active angel investor and advisor to several startups such as 71lbs, Explara and Chuice. He also serves on the board of Running to Stop the Traffik, a Hong Kong-based initiative that aims to stop human trafficking and slavery through endurance sports events that raise money for charity.   

He is on the advisory board of Columbia Business School’s Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center.   

He has an undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan and an MBA from Columbia University in New York. He is an avid tennis player, surfskiier and has a black belt in karate.
