Launched in 2014 at Imperial College London, Yoyo Wallet has become the UK’s fastest growing mobile wallet by expanding across hundreds of University and Corporate locations as well as High Street retail chains. We are an app allowing consumers to pay for things using their phone while they collect stamps or points – all in the app! No need to carry many loyalty cards, cash or credit cards. Retailers in turn, learn more about their customers which allows them to offer in app deals for their loyal customers. Founded by Alain Falys and Michael Rolph, Yoyo has raised significant funding ($15m as of September 2015) and built a team of energetic entrepreneurs who know how to get things done.

With so much potential ahead, Yoyo is looking for a VP Sales & Client Services (UK) to lead the Sales and Client Services Team. Role Objectives

Based in Fitzrovia, the heart of London, VP, Sales & Client Services (UK) will report to Michael Rolph, Chief Revenue Officer & Co-founder of Yoyo Wallet. This is a critical role for our company, as this person will manage our Sales & Client Services functions in our lead market, the UK. Yoyo Wallet is rapidly expanding not only at retailers in closed environments (think the retailers at large universities and corporate campuses), but also at high street chains. Our team is working hard to build relationships with a variety of businesses across the UK. As the Director, Sales & Client Success, you will be responsible for the overall sales performance including new business, growing revenue of existing clients, contributing to the sales strategy which includes setting Objectives and Key Results with link to sales revenue and profits. You will flow this information to your team to successfully grow the Yoyo Wallet brand.

Job Specifications

  • Manage 4 Sales Resources currently (Business & Industry, Education and Partnerships) and respective Clients Success Managers (8 direct reports)
  • Partner with the Executive Team to identify sales strategy and key objectives
  • Implement processes to increase efficiencies
  • Partner with other departments to identify client requirements, trends, and important information
  • Submit sales forecasts and budgets
  • Keep the sales pipeline accurate and up to date
  • Manage enquiries and timelines
  • Negotiate agreements and close deals


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is an asset
  • 10+ years in a strategic sales or relationship based role in an agile start up and/or entrepreneurial corporate environment
  • 5+ years managing a team in a collaborative, supportive, and motivating capacity
  • Previous exposure to mobile, ePOS, or the payments industry is an asset
  • Exposure working with Salesforce is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated project management and problem solving skills
  • Confident, personable, enthusiastic, and articulate
  • Strong ability to prioritize varied workload

  • Can demonstrate or provide examples of successful contract wins
